Brining our community together through Bord Gaming
We have established a community board gaming group in Redhill, Surrey, providing a welcoming space for people to meet, play games and build friendships.
Currently meeting once a month, we want to expand to three or four sessions each month.
Our aim is to offer these sessions free of charge, helping older people and anyone experiencing loneliness to connect with others, develop friendships and feel part of their local community.
We are seeking donations to cover our hall hire and session-running costs for the year ahead. This project is currently a prototype, but we hope to demonstrate how a simple, shared activity can bring people together and, in time, expand the initiative to reach even more people.

Womenโs Self-Defence Classes
We are developing a community-based womenโs self-defence initiative in the East Surrey area, designed to help women feel safer, stronger and more confident in their everyday lives.
Our classes provide a welcoming and supportive environment where women can learn practical self-defence skills, improve their confidence and build the knowledge to better manage concerns about their personal safety in the community.
Currently running once a week, due to the success we hope to expand to three sessions per week, making these valuable classes more accessible to local women.
We are seeking donations to help cover hall hire and instructor costs, enabling us to offer regular, affordable sessions and empower more women to feel confident, connected and safer in their community.

Free Community Courses Coming to East Surrey
Weโre developing a series of free, practical half-day courses for people across East Surrey, designed to help individuals build confidence, develop life skills and navigate everyday challenges.
Each month, weโll offer a four-hour session covering topics such as managing anxiety and depression, understanding personal finance, supporting adults with SEN and money management, improving wellbeing, making positive life choices, writing effective CVs, Finding the right employment, Loneliness and finding friends.
Our aim is to make useful knowledge, practical guidance and supportive learning accessible to everyone, regardless of their circumstances.
The courses will be free to attend, with an optional opportunity for participants to support the project through donations or by purchasing a book. This will help cover venue hire, instructor costs and the delivery of future sessions, enabling us to continue supporting our local community.
